September 14th, 2011Hot off the heels of Artem Gomelko's epic goalie FAIL for Torpedo Zhodino in Belarus, a second world class own goal has been located from the Under-23 Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Cup match between Al Hilal and Al Ansar earlier this week. Al Hilal's kids triumphed 2-1 over Al Ansar, however it wasn't all strawberries and ice-cream for the hosts as they conceded an outrageously bad own goal. 1-up at the time, things began unravelling for Al Hilal when their keeper got caught in no-mans-land after failing to catch a ball as it pass through his area. Once out of his safety zone, the home goalie was further embarrassed as Al Ansar forward Mohammed Al-Blewi beat him to the ball. That sparked a game of cat and mouse as Al-Blewi tried to work an angle to fire on goal, while the Al Hilal team desperately tried around to snuff out the attack. Eventually Al-Blewi delivered the ball into the box, but it looked like a big waste as his cross fell straight on the boot of home defender Radwan Al-Moosa. All he had to do was leather the ball upfield to clear the danger. It was simply, basic footballing stuff. But -- as you can probably guess -- that proved too much for the mal-coordinated Al-Moosa.
